We are delighted that you are about to join us at Croxley Danes School.
Starting a different secondary school as an in-year transition can be both exciting and daunting. It is a fantastic opportunity for a whole new start, no matter what the circumstances of your in-year transition. This includes making new friendship groups, the chance to study a wide range of subjects and the opportunity to take part in numerous extra-curricular opportunities, both here and abroad.
The first few weeks will undoubtedly be a little daunting, but the Form Tutors and existing students are here to help guide you through the transition process. Always ask if there are aspects you are unsure of and let us know if there are things you need help with.
This information webpage has been prepared to help provide you with some of the information you will need to ensure a smooth transition. We encourage your son or daughter to arrive with a ‘can do’ attitude and to grasp the huge range of opportunities that we offer, both within and outside the classroom, so they can play a full and active role in this outstanding community.
We have high expectations of the students both academically and in terms of their behaviour. Of equal importance to us is that they are happy, healthy and enjoying school so that they have every chance to succeed.
We are looking forward to getting to know you so much better and working in close partnership with your family over your time at Croxley Danes.
